About Us

Italian Shape LLC was born of the ambition of a young woman who intended to bring true Made in Italy abroad. Eleonora, born in 1992, is the creator and founder of Italian Shape; she has always lived in direct contact with the family business founded by her grandfather in 1963. Furniture, art, and Italian elegance, together with the quality of the materials have been a part of Eleonora’s life since childhood, instilling in her a passion for the world of fine craftsmanship. This passion for traditional crafts and for authentic Made in Italy consumed her to the point of making her a spokesperson for the same.

“Nowadays it is difficult to convey a culture of beauty and the importance of materials. We live in a world where the quality of raw materials is very often neglected to accommodate the price tag, which must always be competitive. A constantly increasing number of products coming from other places are sold as products “Made in Italy”, although they are anything but that. This forced system of attribution for the sake of marketing creates confusion and depreciates an entire category of products that truly comply with a standard of quality and fine craftsmanship that my homeland is known for worldwide.

Italy is the country of artisan excellence: invention, manual skills, and imagination are just some of the characteristics that make us a unique entity in the world. My ambition is, more precisely, to bring fine Italian craftsmanship closer to the people of the United States of America, a nation that has always appreciated the excellence of products Made in Italy. I wanted to create, through Italian Shape, a direct chain of sales “from the producer to the consumer”, so that each individual client might have the best quality at a fair and honest price. Each of my products comes to life in the laborious and work-worn hands of the craftsman who personally made the piece for you. When you purchase a handmade product, you are not only buying an object. You are acquiring something that is one of a kind, different from anything that may come along later. With your purchase, you are actually buying the hours of labor, trials and error, successes and failures, of the person who breathed life into that object.

The passion, born of the heart, is the element that differentiates a handmade product from an industrial one. The story hidden “behind” the scenes is about common people who live lives that are more or less extraordinary.

In a world where technology has replaced the beauty of “handmade”, making every product the same as another, I grant myself the luxury of once again proposing attention to details and the uniqueness of fine craftsmanship. After all, it is wonderful to be able to touch it and perceive the history and the humanity it embodies.”
