An elegant sideboard from the rediscovery of some sacred furnishing of the XVI century. This piece, in its originality, was part of an upper element of a more complex furniture for containing paraments and vestments worn during liturgical celebrations. We are certain that it belonged to the upper part of a complex piece because the sideboard had four doors but was without feet. Feet in Italian walnut were added at a later date thanks to our restoration intervention. The structure itself in any case has maintained its originality.
The back presents a peculiarity of its era: as you can observe, the five horizontal axes that form the back of the sideboard were nailed directly in the side. This characteristic further certifies its historic authenticity. The sideboard is both austere and at the same time elegant, making it suitable for any type of decor.
