An original sideboard dating back to the early 1800s from the sacristy of a parish in the province of Naples. This sideboard was constructed using Italian walnut. It was actually found in excellent condition, so it only required a quick restoration without having to replace any parts. The sideboard is formed by a single body and its reduced length suggests that it belonged to a church in a small community of faithful. Usually it is common to find sacristy sideboards much larger than this one in average-sized parishes. This is why we can state with certainty that it belonged to a very small church in a small southern town.
The upper part has three small doors and served to contain the chalices, the items necessary for the sacrament of Baptism, the asperser and its bucket, and the little bottles for the sacred oils. Inside the two doors, the tablecloths for the altar, the candelabras, candles, and everything required for the celebration of the liturgy was stored. This sideboard also embodies all the sacredness of its history, which has remained unchanged to this day.
