Elegant writing table for the centre of the room in eighteenth-century Venetian style. The writing surface is rectangular but pleasantly contoured with rounded corners. The longer side contains three drawers arranged horizontally. The structure of the desk is in solid wood veneered with walnut burl, streaky walnut, and maple filleting. The four legs, connected by four drops, are in beech and carved completely by hand. The polisher highlighted the mouldings with an ebonizing effect that, upon request, may not be applied.
