Ancient safe of the fourteenth century from the Veneto region. The “old strongbox” presents a solid walnut wooden body, which was covered with thin layers of wrought iron and ensured with big studs. In the middle of the front a plate that hosts the lock has been applied. Being the original lock, it does not work.
The safe has undergone a conservative process of restoration, which consisted in a deep sanitization and restoration of the wooden part; for what concerns the wrought iron layers, they are still the original ones.
