Elegant chest of drawers with four drawers and bow-fronted structure presenting a complex contrast of curves and recessions. The upper part of the chest of drawers is inserted onto the lower part and features a drop leaf the recalls the shape of a chest. When the drop leaf is open, it reveals a delicately sculpted set of four small drawers and a compartment. A model inspired by Venetian art. This bureau was created by hand using solid spruce, veneered in walnut burl, maple fillet, and sheets of walnut cut vertically. This model of bureau is typical of Venetian art, as the classic characteristics of this style can be seen in its forms. The warm walnut hue was obtained thanks to the use of earths mixed with water and patina. As a finishing touch, a light coat of beeswax was applied and then polished with a cotton cloth.
