Typical chest of drawers in eighteenth-century style from the Veneto region of Italy. Its austere lines reflect the tastes of that period and, above all, of the zone. The chest of drawers is enlivened by the use of walnut burl that varies the colour of the three frontal drawers, enhances the roundness and recesses of the form and then ends along the sides. The peculiarity of this piece, which is truly unique, is the solid walnut used to produce the frames. It was accurately cut vertically into many small pieces that were then joined together to lend a sense of continuity to the wood grain with the essence of the material found on the rest of the piece. The walnut colour of the furniture also highlights the light/dark wood grain of the walnut used to construct the chest of drawers. Opening the drop leaf reveals two pairs of small drawers separated by a compartment closed by a small door that opens to the side. One curiosity to be remembered are the secret spaces inside the chest of drawers that will be revealed only at the moment of purchase. The elegance of the simple forms of this bureau makes it the perfect addition to any decor.
