Information: The work is a reinterpretation of the original painting attributable to the artist Tommaso Manzuoli. The painter depicted the Virgin holding the infant Jesus as he attempts to attract the attention of St. John the Baptist, also a child at the time. In the middle ground and under a different light, muted and almost in half-light, there is a male figure, St. Joseph. The scene was reinterpreted by the artist who had drawn inspiration from the original painting.
The frame, from the mid-XX century, is completely hand-carved. Carvings of fruit adorn the oval of the frame.
