An elegant and refined sideboard in eighteenth-century Venetian style, with curved lines typical of «bombé» furniture. The sinuosity of the line, typical of eighteenth-century northern Italian furniture, softens the structure that was much more geometric in previous centuries. The exclusiveness is lent precisely by the movement of the contours that widen and at the same time expand, maintaining the proportions of the furniture. One particular detail worthy of note is the front of the sideboard that takes on a «serpentine» contour, also known as «balestra», or crossbow. The main decoration of this piece lies in the quality of the walnut burl interrupted by the maple filleting and contoured by vertically-honed walnut veneer. The drop that connects the front legs of the sideboard represents the typical Venetian shell hand-carved in walnut.
Another peculiarity of this sideboard is the presence of small secret compartments inside that will be revealed only to the buyer.
