Era: early Baroque
Information: the two works, sold together as a pair, are the reproduction of two paintings owned by a Roman collector. The author is unknown, probably because his name was lost on the original canvases. The Baroque style, which was becoming more and more popular, is represented in the outstanding and roundish figures of the putti and the brightly coloured flowers.
The frames, in hand-carved lime wood, are lacquered in gold and silver leaf.
The two paintings are sold together as a pair.
