French inspired original writing desk with a sliding opening, dating from the nineteenth century, coming from the province of Treviso. By looking at the space partitioning, it is allowed to suppose that it was part of a public office furniture, such as the postal office or even the City Hall. The writing desk was finished even on the back part, not making it necessary to placing it against a wall. The structure was made out of solid walnut and it has undergone an appropriate cleaning and restoration process.
