Eccentric veneered bureau in Venetian Rococo style of the mid-XVIII century. The stylistic element that distinguishes all the bureaus of that period is the modulation of the structure in contrasts of slight projections and recesses. The chromatic movement of the surface is the result of a calibrated arrangement of walnut wood, cut either vertically and horizontally and then alternated with inlaid rosewood fillets. Admirable details include the sides that slope from top to front and end in blocks that mark the level of the drop leaf and house two small drawers with fronts decorated with sculpted leaves. Once the drop leaf is opened, we find two small drawers separated by an open compartment. We can also say that there are secret compartments that will be revealed only to the client at the moment of purchase. The peculiarity of this piece may pique your curiosity, and for this reason we will be happy to answer any of your questions.
NB: the briarwood used to cover the structure of the furniture is found in nature, as it is a totally natural element. It is therefore our duty to specify that the forms and motifs that the briarwood creates on the surface of this piece will vary from one to another. This handmade attribute will make your furniture one of a kind in the world. For more information, please feel free to contact us. We will be pleased to provide you with a description of how this antique decorative technique is carried out.
