Elegant writing desk perfect for freestanding and manufactured during the first half of the nineteenth century in the Veneto region. The furniture is veneered in walnut and supported by elephant-tusk-shaped legs that rely on a support which is united with a turned cross-piece. The desk top is garnished on three sides by a delicate perforated frieze. The front is composed by three drawers, where the biggest one, in turn, is divided into smaller compartments.
The structure of the writing desk is made of solid cherry wood. After a careful restoration process the shellac has given the “last touch” and a new life to this eclectic furniture.
