Trumeau in late 1700s Veneto style, reproduced in conformity with artistic trends of that era. This secretary-desk was produced by hand by an experienced master cabinetmaker. The base is in solid wood veneered in walnut, walnut burl, and rosewood fillet. Inside the upper part there are niches and drawers perfect for storing small collectibles. Above the moulding we can admire seven spinning top-shaped pinnacles, all of which can be removed. The drop leaf is part of the base and contains an open compartment and two small drawers. The warm colour of the trumeau was obtained through the use of water-based colours later fixed with a coat of shellac. The trumeau comprises two separate bodies: the base and the top. A curiosity: in this trumeau there is a secret space that will be revealed only to the buyer. Please feel free to contact us for any further information.
