Information: the author, Giuseppe Pinacci da Siena, was a student of the great maestro and author of Borgognone battles. He is known to have taught Pinacci, who interprets the end of a battle using bright colours and well-defined forms.
The original frame dating to the early 1800s has had its wooden parts restored. The gilding was cleaned and replaced where it was missing.
