Art. IS-110-CR

Particular sideboard originally used for the sacristy. The characterizing material and style suggest that the furniture is from the Belluno area. The sideboard is an original piece, that presents two astonishing drawers.

The shelf is composed by five doors and four small drawers. It was originally intended to contain furnishings for the liturgical office. The upper part dates back to the end of the sixteenth century.

The sideboard’s lower part is composed by three spacious compartments designated for storing various religious items such as ostensoria, crosses, reliquaries, candle holders and liturgical bells. The base was presumably reproduced at the end of the nineteenth century. It can be deduced thanks to the age of the wood and the way the sideboard was produced. The sideboard’s structure made of larch wood, a conifer in the genus Larix, a typical tree of the Alps.
