Detailed reproduction of a trumeau of the eighteenth century, known as the “Maria Teresa style” which pays homage to the time where Queen Maria Teresa ruled over Austria and Germany (1717-1780).
The normal size trumeau is a proper gem of Italian cabinet-making.
The artisan – who accurately reproduced the furniture – has managed to respect the stylistic canons and at the same time add a touch of modernity.
The shelf, which is composed by thirteen drawers and a door, lays on based that is equipped with a flap that can be used as a writing desk. The trumeau’s structure is made of solid fir and larch wood, and 4 millimeters slabbed frames.
The chromatic effect, obtained by the use of precious woods (such as walnut, cherry and chestnut), is highlighted by the light color that is the result of a mixtures of water and dirt. In the final phase of the polishing process, various coats of shellac.
